Article 28: We have the right to an education.
In science, we have been learning all about materials. We have discovered the difference between the object and the material it is made from; explored their properties; expanded our vocabulary with words to help us to describe and even carried out investigations to discover answers to our enquiry question; ‘What is the best material?‘
One of our investigations lead us to design and build a house that would be strong enough to keep out the BIG, BAD WOLF (after he huffed and puffed) by using a range of materials. We used wood, plastic, paper and cardboard straws. After making our houses, we made predictions about what would happen. Would our houses be strong enough to keep out the wolf? What material was the best/ strongest? Which material was still standing?
