In History this term, we are learning about the Anglo–Saxons and when they invaded Britain. Over the next several weeks we will look at key facts about them and why they came to Britain.
Today we have been looking at the key people within the royal court in Bamburgh and the different artefacts which they may have used within that period. We enjoyed matching the name of the artefact to the picture.
Next we are going to be learning about Saint Aidan, an important saint who introduced Christianity throughout Northumbria. We are also excited to learn that we will be going to Bamburgh to help embed our learning. Watch out for more of our Anglo-Saxon learning…
