Article 28: Every child has the right to a quality education.
Article 29: Education must develop a child’s personality, talents and abilities to the full.
The children have been exploring mark making in their play. They have shown that they can enjoy mark making using a variety of materials tools and colours. They are learning that mark making is fun indoors and outdoors. They can make marks on their own, and with friends. Mark making can help us express ourselves and can be used to communicate with others.
They have also started to learn how letters can be recorded for meaning and for real purposes. The children’s writing journey has already started in reception class at South Street Primary School. Look at how they are using the graphemes they know to communicate meaning in as they make marks that are important to them.
