Today we visited the Quayside to help us answer our geography enquiry question, “Why is the River Tyne important?” While we were there we were able to identify the human and physical features along the River Tyne. We discussed how tourism is important in bringing money to Newcastle and Gateshead and also had fun naming all the bridges over the River Tyne. Even the rain didn’t dampen the South Street spirit and we even saw the Millennium Bridge tilt! Thank you to all our parent helpers for your support today.
