Article 28: We have the right to an education.

Today we have had a virtual lesson from the learning hub at the Roman Baths, in Bath!

We learned how the Romans would enter the baths, how they would go to different rooms to carry out their ablutions.

They had a room to disrobe; they paid a servant to look after their clothes, so they were not stolen.

In another room they would have a massage with olive oil, then they would scrape off all their dead skin and olive oil, put this is a jar and sell it to ladies to use as face cream. Yuck!

They would clean their ears with a small spoon and pluck out hairs from under their arms with tweezers.

They would end the day relaxing around the pool with friends.

The teacher showed us lots of Roman objects and we had to decide if they were artefacts or replicas.

It was a great way to learn.
