Article 29: We have the right to an education which tries to develop our personality and abilities. An education which encourages you to respect other people’s rights, values and to respect the environment.
The children enjoyed a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Careers Assembly. Mel, from Northumbria University, came into school to share with the children the different careers within the power industry and the skills required for each role.
The children enjoyed exploring some of the equipment used and discovering that many skills they already have (resilience, creativity and passion) can lead to an interesting career in STEM.
