Headteacher’s Welcome

Welcome to South Street Community Primary School’s new website. This has been designed to provide you with useful information about our school and so that you can get a taste of what makes our school so special.

I am very proud to be the Head Teacher of such a happy and inclusive school. We welcome children and families from all backgrounds and appreciate the diversity they bring.

Our ethos is to support the children to be “The Very Best They Can Be”. This is not just academically but also in being the best person they can be in terms of how they treat others and their aspirations for themselves. Our values are simple; Be Safe, Be Kind, Be The Best You Can Be.

The children here are lucky to have amazing teachers and teaching assistants who help them to learn well and have high expectations of what the children can achieve but who also really care about the children and look after their wellbeing, safety, and personal development.

All our staff look after the children here and aim to bring out” their very best”. This includes our administrative staff, our Family Support Worker, our caretaker, cooks, and cleaners.

The positive support from our parents and the wider community is very important to us and we encourage working together in partnership for the benefit of our children.

Governors are an important part of our school and contribute much to ensure it truly is a great school.

Our curriculum is interesting, exciting, and relevant. It provides children with broad and balanced learning opportunities, delivered by very knowledgeable staff.

Visitors and visits are a big contributor in enhancing learning for our children. We will keep you updated on this website with the range of fantastic experiences that your children have had the opportunity to be part of.

We hope you enjoy visiting our website and that it provides you with everything you need. If you have suggestions to improve our website further, please contact us and we will do our “very best” to accommodate.
