We are excited to introduce our newly elected School Council representatives for the new academic year here at South Street!

Every class from Year 1 to 6 held a vote to choose the pupils who they felt would best represent their views. Some of our upper KS2 nominees gave a speech to their class explaining why they wanted to be on the council and after a tight vote, our new members were elected.

The school council will meet regularly to discuss pupil ideas and suggestions, plan upcoming school events and help make positive changes within the school community. The Councillors will provide feedback through class discussions and assemblies, school website and School Council noticeboard. They will also meet with the school governors to discuss the curriculum and their plans for the year ahead.

Our School Councillors enjoyed their first school council meeting today, They are excited about their new roles and are looking forward to doing great things in our school!
