Article 28: We have the right to an education.

We have been investigating whether a range of materials are combustible; we investigated sawdust, paper, steel nails, dry leaves, cotton , wool and rubber.

We made sure we stood a safe distance away from the investigation and that an adult was in charge of using the matches to see if each material was combustible.

We found out that wool, paper, dry leaves, cotton and sawdust were combustible; we found out that rubber and steel nails were not combustible.

We also discussed any changes that happened to each material once it ignited.

At the end of our investigation, we ensured all materials were safely disposed of after covering them in water to ensure there were no flames left.
