Article 31 : Every child has the right to relax, play and take part in a wide range of cultural and artistic activities.

This week the children enjoyed a Halloween themed stay and play day with their families. Both the Nursery and Reception took part. They enjoyed a range of fun activities that engaged everyone’s imagination while helping them to learn alongside their families. The activities covered learning across a range of prime and specific areas such as reading spooky books, looking for rhyming characters and making marks with different media. There was pumpkin bowling that involved counting how many pins were left standing, comparing and contrasting the different shapes and sizes of pumpkins and using positional language to find Winnie’s cat and spider. The children used their senses to explore the sensory trays and looked closely at information books that told them all about pumpkins. They timed themselves to see how many balls they could catch with a net and used blocks to make spooky houses. Everyone had lots of fun and we can’t wait to invite our wonderful parents and families to visit our next stay and play day! Thank you all for joining us.
