Article 14: Every child has the right to think and believe what they choose and also to practise their religion, as long as they are not stopping other people from enjoying their rights.
Diwali symbolises the spiritual victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance and is celebrated during the Hindu lunisolar months of Ashvin. The celebrations generally last five or six days and this year begins on Sunday 12th November.
As it is a festival of light, we worked in groups to design a diva lamp. A Diva Lamp is used in India and Nepal and are often used as for special occasions such as Diwali.
