Reception

Welcome to the Reception class page!

We would like to extend to you a warm welcome to our Reception class for the start of the autumn term.  This term is always very exciting for both staff and children. We are looking forward to spending lots of time getting to know about our new friends, teachers and learning spaces.  Our overarching theme for this term is ‘All About Me’. There is a focus on establishing rules and routines and working together to create enabling places to learn. As we build our learning spaces together, we will reflect upon and celebrate the unique talents, interests and needs of every child in the class.  We will be working closely with families to learn about what makes all of our children unique.  We will celebrate what makes us all very special people and learn that we can all work together to make our class a very special place to be.  We are also planning to engage in some special events this term, including visits to the local library, events for parents to support children with early literacy skills and some amazing ‘Stay and Play’ days.  Watch out for lots of exciting changes to our indoor and outdoor learning environments too!  We hope you enjoy this term with us.
