Welcome to the Nursery class page!
Welcome back to Nursery after a wonderful summer holiday. We were glad to see all of our returning children back at school, and we are also very excited to welcome some new children into Nursery.
This autumn term, our Nursery children will embark on an exciting journey of learning through our key theme, All About Me. Through stories, discussions, creative activities and role play, children will explore their own identities, families, friendships and interests, helping them to develop confidence, communication skills and a sense of belonging within our Nursery community.
As the season changes, we will investigate the signs of autumn by observing the weather, exploring colourful leaves, seeds and natural materials, and learning about how plants and animals adapt during this time of year. These experiences will encourage curiosity and develop children’s understanding of the world around them. We have been very busy making some exciting changes to out outdoor play areas and can’t wait to get busy in them.
We will also celebrate a range of autumn festivals of light providing opportunities for children to learn about different traditions, cultures and communities through stories, music, art and shared celebrations. Throughout the term, all learning will be carefully planned through play-based experiences that nurture children’s personal, social, emotional, language, physical and creative development, ensuring a happy, engaging and enriching start to the school year.
