We have been out and about in our natural environment around school to search for minibeasts. We listened to a story by Lucy Cousins called ‘A Good Place to Be’. The story taught us that minibeasts all have different needs and that they all prefer different habitats. Using this knowledge we took out our magnifiers and bug viewers and looked under rocks and leaves, in dead wood, shady spaces and in damp places. We even looked under the ground. We found that there were many different minibeasts living in our school grounds!
